Drone Episodes Foreword: Gian Battaglia has a very keen ear for ambient music and all of its blanket forms, using such music to clear the mind, focus the brain and evoke feelings of positivity, along with deep thought, emotion and heightened focus, all to create an environment conducive to elevated productivity. This body of work exists in the hope that it can be consumed and used by others who are like minded about this special genre and its branching forms. Each of the pieces on this album were recorded in one take with the use of two Moog Synthesizers, the Grandmother and the Subsequent 37 - as well as a Revox B77 reel to reel tape recorder and Roland RE-101 Space Tape Echo, alongside numerous FX Pedals. Working in this way allowed Gian to create ‘sound on sound’ audio parts, which swell and ebb to capture a body of work that has the soul and DNA of Battaglia's signature sound in that it is deeply emotive, rich in analogue texture and thought provoking. Drone Episodes can be filed under the categories of, Drone, Deeper Listening, Electronica, Contemporary Classical and Ambient music.
